Highlights
  • High elongation and flexibility
  • Bonds to a variety of surfaces with minimal surface prep
  • Low Odour and non-flammable properties for a safer working environment compared to typical acrylic adhesives
  • 23 minute work life with 55 minutes to structural strength
  • Maintains high shear strength down to -40°C

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Flexible Acrylic Adhesive DP8625NS is a black, non-sag, low Odour, two-part acrylic adhesive. This high-elongation acrylic adhesive with structural strength is ideal for bonding dissimilar materials, thin panel applications where bondline read-through is a concern, or any other application where a flexible bond is needed.

Structural Strength with Urethane Flexibility 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Flexible Acrylic Adhesive DP8625NS is a structural strength adhesive combining the fast cure and minimal surface preparation of an acrylic with the high flexibility and elongation commonly found in urethanes or sealants. This black, non-sag, low Odour, two-part acrylic adhesive enables the use of thinner panels by mitigating the effects of bondline read-through and cure shrinkage. It exhibits greater than 400% elongation and withstands the stresses caused by materials having dissimilar coefficients of thermal expansion. This adhesive requires minimal surface prep and has no GHS08 Health Hazard classification. It contains 250 micron (0.010 inch) spacer beads. This adhesive has a 23 minute work life with 28 minute time to handling strength and bonds with minimal surface preparation, even to slightly oily surfaces.

Suggested applications
  • Dissimilar material bonding
  • Thin panel applications where bond line read-through is a concern
  • Applications requiring high bond elongation and elasticity
  • Transportation, rail, signage and architectural panel assembly
  • Manufacturing environments where workplace safety regarding exposure to odors, toxicological hazards and flammable substances is of heightened importance
